Here are some answers to frequently asked questions regarding video production?

What Cameras do you use. All cameras are Sony hi-definition cameras and broad cast quality. Cameras are mounted on sturdy tripods and have shotgun microphones with wind shields for outdoor use.

How do we contact you. Either email us or phone us on the "About" page.

Do you charge for consultations. No we can either visit you to discuss your requirements or discuss over the phone. If we visit you, we can bring other samples of our work. We do not charge for any consultations prior to the event. It's important to both parties to understand what is required.

How much planning is required. The more notice we have of an event the better. This gives us chance to work out with the customer the requirements for the day.  Once you have confirmed your venue and have a firm idea of your requirements we can plan the day for you.

Will the equipment be obstructive. We try to plan in advance where the camera is positioned as not to obstruct other people's views and get in the way of the event. Also depending on the event the camera work will be sensitive to the event.

How will you interact with any photographers. On the day we will work with the photographer to make sure everyone gets the shots they want. If we have their details in advance we will plan with them what we aim to try and do and also ask them what they want to do so we don't get in each other's way. For group photographs it's usually the photographer who leads the people for the various set ups and the videographer will record the results. However the customer in the end decides how they want the set up to be and all this will be planned in advance.

Are cameras permitted at the venue. Most venues allow cameras film but may put a restriction on their use, i.e. where the cameras can be located. Some venues may also charge you for allowing the event to be filmed on their premises. Please check with the venue beforehand as this could be a nasty little extra cost you may not be aware of.

Do you offer Blu Ray format. Yes DVD's can either be presented in standard format or hi-definition Blu Ray. (note Blu Ray discs will not play on a standard DVD player).

What area do you cover. Whilst based in Lancashire (Accrington) dependent on the event we will travel as far as viable to both parties.

What is the etiquette on the day. We will be respectful to all people and will be as discreet as possible on the day. We will also dress appropriately for the occasion. (We won't turn up in jeans and T-Shirt for your wedding)

Do you have any testimonials. Yes, please see our other pages and also we can provide samples of other work at consultations. Also there are links to some of the different events we have done on this site.

How much of the event do you film. As much or indeed as little as you require. We will discuss with you your requirements. There could be local restrictions for filming but we will look into this should it occur.

Will there be a contract. Yes, this will set out the requirements so both parties agree what is covered for the filming.

What restrictions could there be. Most venues are happy to allow filming there are some things that may be beyond our control on the day. A minority of venues may restrict filming (95% are OK with it). We cannot control the weather at a venue. We cannot control the lighting or acoustics at a venue. We do have video lights but these have a local affect. We cannot control people's characters and how they behave.

Are you Insured. Yes we have public liability insurance.
